Florida Keys Coronavirus Cases

The latest report from the Florida Department of Health shows there are  45 new cases today in Monroe County, including 24 more in Key West, 9 more in Key Largo, 2 more in Tavernier, 7 more in Marathon, 1 more in Key Colony Beach, 1 more in Big Pine Key, and 1 more in Stock Island.

Monroe County: 715 total cases

Residents: 696

Non-residents: 19

A majority of the infections are community acquired. Therefore, it is critical to wear a mask, avoid crowds, social distance, and hand wash frequently.

Key Largo: 116

Tavernier: 71

Marathon: 84

Islamorada: 35

Big Pine Key: 18

Summerland Key: 11

Cudjoe Key: 2

Sugarloaf: 2

Stock Island: 16

Key Colony Beach: 5

Long Key: 1

Ramrod Key: 1

Homeless: 1

Missing Locations: 46

The Health Department officially confirms new cases. Cases are a total count of all laboratory-confirmed cases. This number does not represent the current number of COVID-19 positive persons. At this time, the FDOH is unable to determine the number of recoveries from COVID-19. Those who do recover from the virus may have additional unknown health effects. Monroe County posts this Florida Department of Health information as a courtesy to inform residents.
