First State Bank Earns Five Stars for Education

First State Bank of the Florida Keys was awarded the Tom Sawyer Five-Star Program Award by the Key West Chamber of Commerce Education Committee for its dedication to schools, teachers, and students. The Bank was the only Five Star recipient for 2019.

The prestigious five star designation is awarded through the Key West Chamber of Commerce to members who contribute to local education through Key West High School student scholarships, teacher recognition, teacher educational enrichment, classroom adoptions, and Take Stock in Children mentoring.

“First State Bank of the Florida Keys is committed to helping local students and teachers achieve success,” said Karen Sharp, First State Bank President and CEO. “As the Keys only remaining local bank, we reinvest our deposits locally and what better investment than our local youth.”
