FILM REVIEW / “GET OUT”

ROGER C. KOSTMAYER

This is a wild, creative, scary and, at times, funny thriller.  To say more than a young urban interracial couple go to visit the girl’s affluent white parents, and things get awkward, would be a disservice if you haven’t seen it.

Performances by both the protagonist, Chris, played by Daniel Kaluuya, and his pal, and the musical score, are all excellent, but the writing/directing by Jordan Peele is even better – fresh and brilliant.  The film isn’t for the timid but it is spellbinding.

This movie is bound to be a big controversial hit with audiences and there’s much to discuss – so don’t miss it.
