FDOT begins Hurricane Irma-related repairs this week
The Florida Department of Transportation began a 13-month, $6 million project Monday from Mile Marker 33.6 to Mile Marker 79.7 in Monroe County.
FDOT expects periodic lane/traffic shifts from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. along U.S. 1 in those areas.
The work is being done in stages and is being scheduled to avoid special community events and peak periods of traffic.
