Exquisite Corpse
By Fred C. Klein
On Monday granddaughter Ruby visited and after a delicious bar pie lunch at Eddie’s Joanne led us through an artistic exercise denominated as Exquisite Corpse.
In essence, it is a collaborative Art exercise where each participant starts on their own folded piece of long sectioned paper intended to depict the torso of a figure without knowing of or seeing the other’s work.
Thus, one section is sketched, the next is collage, another is painted and so on. Each figure is folded over to hide the previous work and passed around for an application on a blank section by each participant without knowing what had already been done.
Then at the end of this process there is the ultra surprising reveal (pictured).
I’m now describing myself as the “new previously unknown Artist” 🙂
