Every Kid Healthy Week Celebrated in Monroe County
The Florida Department of Health in Monroe County is pleased to announce the partnership with Keys to Be the Change and Poinciana Elementary School during Every Kid Healthy Week, an annual celebration the last week of April that encourages healthy behaviors among youth. All school partners can help to improve the health and wellness of their students and bridge the gap between nutrition, physical activity and learning—because healthy kids are better prepared to learn.
Anyone can get involved and be a part of the celebration to help support sound nutrition, regular physical activity and health-promoting programs in schools. During Every Kid Healthy Week, Monroe County students will be challenged to take photos of healthy behaviors and food. Share your photos on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #healthymonroekids. Submit your name and photo to [email protected].
