Gent Treadly Soundcheck Set

<div>One 90-minute set: 5:30-7:00</div> <p></p> <div>Led by Greg Koerner on bass, jam/rockers Gent Treadly bring their blend of improvisational roots/ rock, jam, and blues back to The Green Parrot.</div> <p></p> <div>Greg Koerner, a veteran of the Parrot stage, is pictured here both at last night’s show, and again, here in April 2006, backing Grateful Dead keyboardist Vince Welnick.</div> <p></p> <div>Welnick, as a keyboardist, many remember, took over what was historically a particularly-doomed spot for the Dead, dodging for more than a decade the proverbial bullet that seemed aimed at the Grateful Dead’s most fatal position.</div> <p></p> <div>He was the fourth of the band’s five keyboardists to die, following Ron “Pigpen” McKernan, Keith Godchaux and Brent Mydland.</div> <p></p> <div>Following Jerry Garcia’s death in 1995, Welnick continued to tour with various bands and to the good-fortune of Green Parrot fans, he, with Koerner, managed to include The Green Parrot more than once on his touring schedule.</div>
