Detectives identify man found dead near U.S. 1

The man found dead Thursday morning near Shark Key on U.S. 1 has been identified as 31-year-old Zakary Warren Widener of Irving, Texas.

Construction workers reported finding the body at approximately 11:42 a.m. Thursday on the bayside, north end of Shark Key Bridge near the mangroves/waterline.

A shotgun was found near the remains.

Foul play does not appear to be factor.

Detectives are investigating and autopsy results are pending.
