Democrat, Roy David Walker Announces Campaign for Florida House District 120
Florida Democrat Roy David Walker, announced his intentions to run for Florida House of Representatives, District 120, this morning via his Facebook Page www.facebook.com/
In 2018, Roy David Walker was a candidate for Commissioner of Agriculture & Consumer Services. He ran to protect, Florida’s greatest treasure – our environment.
In his statement Friday morning Walker said,
“I am a part of a new generation of Florida Leaders committed to protecting Florida’s Environment, working to increasing funding for Public Schools, and Fighting for every Floridian to have equal access to quality- affordable healthcare. That’s what the people of District 120 can count on me to fight for in Tallahassee.”
Roy David’s background in the environmental industry includes his position as past President and Conservation Chair of the South Florida Audubon Society, Biological Scientist with Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission, and a Researcher at United States Geological Survey.
Mr. Walker holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science with a concentration in Fish and Wildlife Management along with an undergraduate certificate in Public Land Management. Mr. Walker also holds a Master of Science degree in Environmental Policy and Management with a concentration in Environ- mental Planning in conjunction with a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Sustainability.
One of Walkers highest honors was his receipt of the 2015 Presidential Volunteer Service Award from U.S. President Barack H. Obama for his dedication, advocacy, and services to our country by promoting our wildlife, water, and the environment with sustainable policies backed by science-based research both in Washington DC and in the Tallahassee that positively impacts communities in every corner of the nation and inspires those around him to take action.
Roy David also serves as one of two statewide male board members for The Democratic Women’s Club of Flor- ida.
