Dani Holliday Named Anne McKee Artists Fund 2021 Unsung Hero

Each year The Community Foundation of the Florida Keys (CFFK) recognizes the outstanding work of nearly 100 volunteers who dedicate selfless work on behalf of nonprofits throughout the Keys with the The Unsung Hero award.

This year, the Anne McKee Artists Fund board chose “the incomparable Dani Holliday” as their Unsung Hero, writing, “We are so grateful to Dani for bringing our organization into the 21st century.”

“Dani’s energy and technical modernizations allow us much greater reach and efficiency. She initiated online ticketing and produced slide shows that improved the impact of and attendance at our events. She digitally archived 25 years of fund history with accessible databases linking recipients, donors, and past and present board members. She handled EntryThingy communication with artists and also edited and prepared the Auctioneer book. That’s just a few of her accomplishments on our behalf and why we nominated her for our Unsung Hero 2021.”

When asked why she volunteers, Holliday said, “Artists submit art, patrons buy the art, the income funds artists’ grants, grantees become auction donors – it’s the full circle of artists helping artists that I find so compelling.”
