Custom House Museum joins nation in “Museum Store Sunday” to offer inspired shopping with a cause
On Sunday, December 1 from 9:30am – 4:30pm, the Museum Store at the Custom House Museum of Art & History joins more than 1,200 museum stores world-wide for “Museum Store Sunday,” an annual initiative that offers inspired shopping inside museums and cultural institutions and has quickly become the global annual day to “Be a patron” and shop conscientiously to support museum stores and their missions worldwide.
“We are delighted to participate in “Museum Store Sunday” and offer a unique shopping experience with special offers for both our Members and visitors,” says Dan Ayers-Price, the Society’s Director of Retail Operations.
“Museum Store Sunday” highlights the opportunity for the public to give back to their community through patronage of their local non-profit museums. All Custom House Museum Store purchases that day directly support Key West Art & Historical Society exhibitions and educational programming.
“It’s a great way for people to find unique holiday gifts and enjoy an entertaining and educational shopping experience at their favorite museums with family and friends, all at the same time,” says Ayers-Price.
While there is only one “Museum Store Sunday” each year, everyone is encouraged to Be a Patron of museums and museum stores all year round.
