Cow Key Channel Bridges Rehabilitation Project Update
According to the Florida Department of Transportation: Starting Sunday night, April 12, through Wednesday morning, April 15, the Cow Key Bridge Project will continue to have lane closures.
- On Tuesday, April 14, all traffic will be shifted to the inbound bridge.
- On Wednesday, April 15, work will begin on the outbound bridge.
Traffic shifts will consist of three lanes of traffic at all times. Please note, the speed limit will be reduced to 25 mph through the construction zone:
Weekdays
- 4 a.m. to 10 a.m. — Two inbound lanes and one outbound lane
- 10 a.m. to 4 a.m. — One inbound lane and two outbound lanes
Saturdays
- Two inbound lanes and one outbound lane
Sundays
- One inbound lane and two outbound lane
The outbound U.S. 1 left turn lane onto College Road South will be prohibited and detoured to College Road North.
On Wednesday, April 15, the temporary traffic signal on College Road North will be fully operational. Please be prepared to stop if signaled.
Motorist, pedestrian and cyclist detours will be placed in and around the project limits. Please use caution and follow the posted signage.
