“Congressman Carlos Curbelo’s Constituents to Hold Citizens’ Town Hall to Make Their Voices Heard”

After several weeks of calls to hold a public town hall event with no response, several hundred of Curbelo’s constituents will hold a citizens’ town hall to voice their concerns and discuss recent developments in Congress. Congressman Curbelo has been invited to attend and has mentioned he would be open to having one in Key West during his April recess.

What: Constituent Town Hall with Congressman Carlos Curbelo

Who: The Florida Keys Indivisibles

When: Monday, April 24, 6:00 p.m.

Where: Bayview Park, Truman Avenue

Why: A critical part of any member of Congress’ job is to hear from the constituents he represents face-to-face. Since January, Congressman Curbelo has received hundreds of calls, letters, and emails requesting a public forum in Key West for constituents to ask questions and voice their concerns.

The Florida Keys Indivisibles would like to invite you to a Town hall with our invited Congressman Carlos Curbelo. The Florida Keys Indivisibles has sought the opportunity for local groups around the county to show their Members of Congress how serious they are about protecting civil liberties, personal freedoms, and fundamental human rights. To accomplish this, the group states that we must have a consistent message with many voices for our member of Congress during the town hall. `

The group invites all constituents of District 26 and the press to attend this local town hall on April 24th at Bayview Park at 6:00 p.m. with the invited Congressman. They ask that you come prepared to listen and ask questions if applicable. This Town hall is a time to remind our Members of Congress that they represent all of us. This will not be a protest or a rally of any kind. We must stand together, indivisible we all win.
