Commissioner Eddie Martinez to Take 30-Day Voluntary Leave Effective Immediately

MONROE COUNTY, FL – On Dec. 3, Monroe County Commissioner Eddie Martinez notified Gov. Ron DeSantis that he will take a voluntary leave of absence from his District 3 office for a 30-day period to address some personal issues that warrant immediate attention. While on voluntary leave, he will not be paid his commissioner’s salary.

In his absence, if any constituents in District 3 have any questions or issues that need immediate attention, they can reach out to Monroe County staff or another commissioner.
