KEY WEST, FL, February 3, 2020— The College of the Florida Keys honored the career of W. Jean Mauk, Vice President of Finance and Administrative services, who retired last week after 24 years of service to the College.  On Tuesday, the CFK’s District Board of Trustees presented a resolution of appreciate to Mauk at their monthly meeting, and on Friday, colleagues, board members, and friends gathered on the Key West Campus to celebrate her contributions to the College.

CFK President Dr. Jonathan Gueverra congratulates Jean Mauk, CFK Vice President of Finance and Administration, on her retirement after 24 years of service to the College.

Mauk started her career at the College as the Controller in 1996 and was promoted to Dean of Finance and Administrative Services in 2006.  While she retired in 2007, she returned to the College in 2011 as the Vice President of Business and Administrative Services.  She also taught Financial Accounting at the College.  During her tenure, Mauk has ensured the College’s strong financial standing.  She has overseen major upgrades in technology as well as the completion of several construction projects including Lagoon Landing residence hall, the Marine Technology building, and the recovery from Hurricane Irma.

“Her dedication, attention to detail, and knowledge has allowed the College to maintain a strong fiscal position and good facilities despite the lack of state funding to support our enterprise,” said CFK President Dr. Jonathan Gueverra.  “We thank her for her exemplary leadership and wish her the best in her retirement.”
