COLLABORATIVE ARTISTS EXHIBIT OPENS at the HISTORIC GATO BUILDING
The Florida Keys Council of the Arts is proud to announce the opening of a new art exhibit:
“Summer Synergy,” a collaborative artists show of festive works by over 30 local artist members of the Key West Art Center and Artists in Paradise Gallery of Big Pine Key. The show is curated by Arts Council Advisor and Chair of the Art in Public Places Committee, Susann D’Antonio.
This show is vibrant, colorful, and truly showcases the beautiful artwork of our very talented Keys’ artists. From garden scenes, Royal Poinciana, and local architecture to dreamy seascapes, sport fish, turtles and wildlife, this exhibit provides a chance for the viewer to be inspired by our local environment. All artwork is for sale and may be purchased directly from the artist with all proceeds going to the artist.
On display Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 p.m. in the Gato, 1100 Simonton St., Key West, through September 21st. There is free parking and the building and show are ADA accessible.
This exhibit is part of the Arts Council’s Art in Public Buildings program, designed to offer an opportunity for artists to exhibit their work beyond a traditional gallery space and enhance the environment of those who work and visit the Gato Building.
