City Commission Grateful for Art Donation

The Key West City Commission wishes to thank Key West philanthropist John Padget and the late Jacob Dekker for the stunning new sculpture at the Truman Waterfront Park.

Wave Henge, by artist Damon Hamm, is one of eleven installations throughout the Keys, donated by Padget and Dekker and coordinated by The Florida Keys Art in Public Places projects.

The sculpture is a sundial which, at each solstice and equinox, will cast a shadow on one of the surrounding structures. These structures can also serve as benches, adding more options to the popular park.
