Commissioners Monica Haskell and Lissette Carey, Mayor Danise “Deedee” Henriquez, Commissioners Clayton Lopez and Donie Lee, and Vice Mayor Sam Kaufman. Commissioner Mary Lou Hoover was in attendance via Zoom.

Mayor Danise “Deedee” Henriquez and the Key West City Commission, during the October commission meeting, thanked and commended retiring Planning Board member Jim Gilleran for his 28 years of service on the board.

“There’s nobody I trusted on the Planning Board more than Mr. Gilleran,” Commissioner Clayton Lopez said of his appointee. He then addressed Gilleran. “The city is better for your having been a part of it.”

“My experience has been a very rewarding experience,” said Gilleran. “It brought me closer to the community of Key West. My service has always been to think of the individual first. Thank you for allowing me to serve on the Planning Board for 28 years.”
