Bertha Street Begins Outbound Only

As Monroe County continues improvements on Bertha Street, motorists will have to adjust to some interrupted traffic patterns beginning next week.

Weather permitting, work crews will move to the last block of Bertha where it intersects with South Roosevelt Blvd. Beginning on September 29^th, traffic on that block will be outbound only. This means motorists are able to head to the airport and other locations on South Roosevelt from Bertha. However, motorists wanting to head inbound to Key West from any location along South Roosevelt must turn left and use either Flagler Ave. or North Roosevelt Blvd. to get to their destination in Key West.

The work is expected to last into the first week in November, so Bertha St. will remain outbound only during that entire period.
