Ellie Barker Honored for 30 Years of Service
Key West Police Chief Sean Brandenburg today presented two plaques to Ellie Barker in honor of her 30 years of service to the City of Key West, one from the Key West Police Department and the other from the City of Key West.
Miss Ellie, as she is fondly known to her coworkers, currently serves as the executive administrative assistant to Patrol Capt. JR Torres.
“For many years,” said Chief Brandenburg, “Miss Ellie has brought her expertise to the Detective Bureau. She is dedicated not just to her city, but to her community. She has worked hard for years for Toys for Tots, and it’s not unusual to see her at Christmastime, ringing the bell for Salvation Army.”
