Alex Rodriguez Promoted as newest Sergeant

Key West Police Chief Sean Brandenburg swore in Alex Rodriguez on Wednesday as the Department’s newest sergeant.

Born and raised in Key West, Sgt. Rodriguez has been with the department since 2011. During his tenure, he has earned many commendations, including the Lifesaving Award and the Valor Award as well as several Unit Awards with his colleagues for going above and beyond the line of duty.

Sgt. Rodriguez has worked as a patrolman on both the night and day shifts.
