A Jazz Christmas with John Simon & Friends
Friday, December 20, 2024 — — 8:00pm
Grammy-nominated producer John Simon, the musical mastermind behind The Band, Janis Joplin, and Leonard Cohen, is bringing the holiday cheer to the Tennessee Williams Theatre with “A Jazz Christmas.” This one-night-only extravaganza on December 20th promises a jazzy twist on your favorite Christmas classics.
Get ready to groove to a New Orleans rhumba version of “Here Comes Santa Claus” and a bossa nova rendition of “Santa Claus is Coming to Town.” And that’s not all! Our Nutcracker tribute features “The Dance of the Sugar-Plum Saxophone” and “The Samba De Las Flores.”
John has assembled an all-star ensemble, including the soulful voices of Libby York and C.C. Loveheart, and a horn section featuring Mark Rose, Joe Dallas, and Stuart King. The rhythm section, led by Keith Snyder and Ryan Ptanik, will lay down the groove.
So, grab your mistletoe and get ready for a night of holiday jazz magic. Seating is limited, so book your tickets now!
