Speaker Series Features Dr. Mark Whiteside & the Garden’s Butterflies

KEY WEST, Florida Keys – The Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden continues its monthly Speaker Series at 1:00 pm on January 18, 2025 in the Toppino Nature Chapel.  The speaker is Dr. Mark Whiteside who will be speaking about the butterflies at the Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden.

Dr. Whiteside retired last year as Medical Director of the Florida Health Department in Monroe County where he served since 2008.  In addition to his public health work, Dr. Whiteside is an avid birdwatcher, butterfly enthusiast and environmental advocate, understanding the critical importance of environmental sustainability and contributing to efforts to preserve and protect the natural beauty and biodiversity of our region.

Admission is free for members, $5 for non-members.  All proceeds directly benefit the Garden’s conservation program.
