Capt. Franco Honored for 20 Years of Service

The City of Key West and the City Commission, this week recognized Key West Fire Department Raul Franco for his 20 years of dedicated service to the City of Key West.

Capt. Franco started his career with the Key West Fire Department in 2004.  He was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant in 2015 and then promoted to the rank of Captain in 2020.  He holds several State of Florida certifications such as Fire Inspector, Fire Officer I and II, Hazmat Tech just to name a few along with being an active member of the Key West Fire Department Hazmat Team.

Captain Franco has a family history of firefighters with the Key West Fire Department. His brother Robert Franco is currently a Battalion Chief with the Key West Fire Department, and his brother Richard worked as Firefighter with the Key West Fire Department until he relocated with his family to Indiana where he is a member of the Notre Dame Fire Department.
