Capt. Means 25 Years of Service

The City of Key West and the City Commission this month recognized the Key West Fire Department’s Capt. Jason Means for his 25 years of dedicated service to the community.

Capt. Means started his career with the Key West Fire Department in 1999. He was promoted to the rank of Driver/Engineer in 2008 and then promoted to the rank of Captain in 2018.

He is a member of the Key West Fire Department’s HAZMAT Team, USAR team, and Dive Team.  He holds various certifications through the State of Florida; Fire Inspector, Fire Officer just to name a few.

Captain Means was born and raised in Key West, and a graduate of Key West High School.
