RENOVATIONS ARE UNDERWAY TO TRANSFORM LIPS FORT LAUDERDALE INTO AQUAPLEX FORT LAUDERDALE

Lips remains open while new interior design elements, culinary offerings and shows are being updated 

OAKLAND PARK, Fla. (September 26, 2024) – Lips Fort Lauderdale is dramatically evolving into Aquaplex Fort Lauderdale with several exciting updates that will be unveiled later this year including new interior design elements and stage show enhancements, a new food and beverage menu and a series of show concepts. Lips Fort Lauderdale remains open with five show nights and weekend brunches, while the new ownership team elevates the entire experience. An official name change celebration will be announced soon.

The show palace interior will transition from a whimsical vibe to a modern Key West casual environment with more bells and whistles. An ocean inspired epoxy floor will create a cooler vibe along with an expanded stage and a state-of-the-art LED Jumbotron wall. Digital screens throughout the venue will create a more immersive and interactive experience for guests, accompanied by concert-quality surround sound. In addition, an amplified stage lighting program will enhance the show experience and cast the best light possible on all performers.

In addition to the aesthetic upgrades, Aquaplex will introduce a reimagined bar and dining menu. The bar will feature a variety of signature craft cocktails and premium liquor offerings including new featured wines, champagne and other specialty spirits. The mouthwatering food menu will offer present favorites with new selections that will have a delicious southern flair.

While renovations are underway, the entertainment venue remains open as the perfect place to celebrate any occasion with the ever-popular cast, including beloved show hostesses Amanda Austin, Daisy Deadpetals, Nicolette, London Adour and Velvet Lenore. The current shows include new stage numbers and costumes. Rehearsals are underway for new production numbers that will launch to coincide with the grand reopening.
