Sheriff’s Office Marathon Substation named ‘Safe Custody Exchange’ location  

The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office has established the Marathon Substation, 3103 Overseas Highway, Marathon, Florida, 33050, as a neutral location where parents who share custody of children can exchange them safely.

This location has been established pursuant to a recently revised Florida law requiring every sheriff’s office in the state’s 67 counties to establish a safe custody exchange location for parents.

Residents/parents/guardians wishing to use the Marathon Substation for this purpose can do so anytime using the designated parking spot if they need to do so after-hours. The Substation is under 24/7 video surveillance.
