Woman arrested for stealing/selling food from grocery store

A 53-year-old Little Torch Key, Florida woman was arrested Wednesday for stealing groceries and then selling them.

Rebecca Lea Lunsford was charged with larceny and dealing in stolen property.

Security cameras showed Lunsford leaving the Winn-Dixie on Big Pine Key with unpaid groceries on two dates in June worth a total of $1,576.52.

Warrants were obtained for Lunsford’s arrest and she later admitted to the thefts and selling the groceries for approximately half their stated value.
