Man arrested for burglary

A 29-year-old Summerland Key, Florida man was arrested Monday for breaking into a woman’s residence and touching her inappropriately.

Nestor Miguel Zavala Zepeda was charged with battery and burglary.

The 21-year-old victim stated she found her neighbor, Zepeda, sitting on her front porch on Summerland Key at approximately 4:40 p.m. Zepeda stopped the victim from closing her front door, gained entry inside, and began hugging her without her consent. She was able to get him out of her residence and call 911.

Zepeda attempted to gain re-entry to the victim’s residence until the Sheriff’s Office arrived whereupon he was quickly detained and taken to jail.
