LETTER TO THE EDITOR / THE FILM “CIVIL WAR”

I just saw the film and believe the director/author is against out-of-control extremists, but the film is a shocking experience.  If you haven’t seen this film (which I would give at least an “8” on a 10 scale), it is violent. Having American politicians call for forcibly removing protestors and call for carrying “a Glock”, sounds like glorifying violence to me, and it makes the film important.  It is the most up close & realistic war film ever made.

The current concerns about violence and the loss of democracy (like January 6), which most of us have, are extrapolated in the film to mass chaos and violence.  It’s about unchecked extremists against centrists, without identifying, discussing or condemning specific political parties. And it leads to dystopia.

I hope you see Civil War.
