Woman arrested for burglary

A 41-year-old Ramrod Key, Florida woman was arrested Tuesday for breaking into a Big Pine Key residence and living there without the owner’s permission.

Elizabeth Ann Dixon was charged with burglary, causing property damage, and making a false report to law enforcement.

A Sheriff’s Office investigation found Dixon broke the locks on a residence in March 2024 that was in the process of being remodeled on Witters Lane. The investigation showed other items in the home were damaged, stolen, broken or illegally used by Dixon.

Dixon made false statements to the Sheriff’s Office during the investigation.
