Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary invites public to attend Advisory Council meeting in Marathon

Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary Advisory Council will meet at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, April 16, in Marathon, Florida. The council will hear presentations on research taking place during the Western Dry Rocks fishing closure, sponge restoration from I.CARE, sanctuary volunteer programs, Florida’s Coral Reef Disturbance Response Monitoring Program, Monroe County’s new Artificial Reef initiative and an update from the Marine Preservation Society of the Florida Keys, plus agency reports. A public comment opportunity will be offered at approximately 2:30 p.m.
