March Beautiful Business Award

Mayor Teri Johnston and the City Commission have recognized the Overseas Market with the March Keep Key West Beautiful Award.

The award is recommended monthly by the Code Compliance Department for businesses that significantly improve their property.

The Overseas Market shopping center was purchased by the current owners in December of 2019. The owners, Ken and Kate Silverman, take pride in upholding the appearance and condition of their property, aiming to enhance the well-being of the neighborhood and foster a hospitable atmosphere for Key West residents. Jenna Blackwell, of Berkshire Hathaway Commercial Property Management, has managed the complex since the owners purchased it. The recent reconfiguration of the parking area, along with all new landscaping, have made the entire shopping center a real asset to the community.
