Multiple people arrested for wildlife violations following traffic stop

Six Hollywood, Florida people were arrested Sunday for multiple fish violations following a traffic stop on U.S. 1.

The Sheriff’s Office stopped a Ford van at approximately 9:30 p.m. near Mile Marker 5.5. None of the six occupants, including the driver, had a valid driver’s license.

Two undersized hogfish, six undersized schoolmaster snapper, and two undersized mangrove snapper were found in the vehicle.

All six occupants of the vehicle were taken to jail:

  • Oscar Gomez, 39
  • Brayan Lopez Nolasco, 23
  • Elvin Lopez Samfay, 38
  • Miguel Alonzo Gomez, 57
  • Mireisy Busillo Reyes, 27
  • Rossy Moncanda Rodriguez, 27

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission assisted in this case.
