Wanted man arrested by Sheriff’s Office

A 35-year-old Mukwonago, Wisconsin man wanted by federal authorities for kidnapping a 13-year-old girl in South Carolina was arrested by the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office in a Key Largo parking lot Tuesday.

The Sheriff’s Office received information that Tyler Michael Berlick may be en route to Monroe County, Florida.

He and the juvenile were located in a Dodge Ram pickup truck at the Pink Plaza shopping center parking lot at approximately 3:24 a.m.

The Florida Department of Children and Families was notified.

The FBI is the primary investigative agency in this case.
