Woman arrested for drugs following traffic stop  

A 37-year-old Miami, Florida motorist driving erratically in a damaged vehicle was arrested Monday on drug and other charges following a traffic stop on U.S. 1 in Key Largo.

Brooke Dana Heimann was charged with possession of .8 grams of heroin, possession of Alprazolam without a prescription, possession of 18.6 grams of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving without a license.

The Sheriff’s Office observed a Chevrolet sedan swerving and nearly crashing multiple times at approximately 10:15 a.m. near Mile Marker 104. The vehicle had a broken rear axle and could not be driven safely. The driver, Heimann, stated she did not have a driver’s license. She also had a warrant out of Miami-Dade County for failure to appear in court for driving without a driver’s license.
