Key West Botanical Garden Society Seeks Board Members

KEY WEST, Florida Keys – The Key West Botanical Garden Society, a 501 (c)3 non-profit corporation, is recruiting for 5 seats on its Board of Directors for the Key West Tropical Forest & Botanical Garden.  The Garden is an endangered ecosystem and is unique by being the only frost-free tropical humid forest and botanical garden in the continental United States.  The Garden is beginning its 89th anniversary and the Society continues to be the steward of this 15-acre conservation site.

Applications are now open for consideration with three-year terms starting in January, 2024.  All areas of expertise that are particularly relevant to the board include, but are not limited to:  Accounting, Law, IT, Education, Marketing, Engineering, Public Relations and Fundraising.  All are invited to share their expertise, and contribute to furthering the Society’s mission statement to preserve, develop,  expand and maintain the historic Garden as an arboretum, botanical garden, wildlife refuge and educational center. Board responsibilities include monthly board meetings and participation in committee work.
