Woman arrested for assault  

A 39-year-old Mount Sterling, Kentucky woman was arrested Saturday after making threats with a knife. There were no life-threatening injuries reported.

Shannon Michelle Justice was charged with aggravated assault and battery.

The Sheriff’s Office was called to the Winn-Dixie parking lot in Key Largo at approximately 1:23 a.m. regarding a disturbance.

The 55-year-old male victim stated Justice hit him repeatedly in the face and pointed a knife at his neck while he was attempting to drive.

Justice was intoxicated. A knife was found in her possession. She was taken to jail.

Man arrested for battery

A 67-year-old Hurleyville, New York man was arrested after choking and hitting a woman Friday. There were no life-threatening injuries reported.

Christos Louka Zanos was charged with aggravated battery on a person 65 years old or older and battery.

The Sheriff’s Office was called to Boyd’s Key West Campground on Stock Island at approximately 10:20 p.m. regarding a battery.

Zanos pushed the 71-year-old female victim, wrapped his hands around her neck, obstructing her ability to breathe, and punched her in the face. He was taken to jail.
