Women arrested for stealing car
Two Miami-Dade County, Florida women were arrested Sunday after stealing a car in Islamorada.
Zaryanna Renee Marshall, 20, of Miami-Gardens, and Yemilla Nikkole Lucas, 18, of Florida City, were both charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle.
The Sheriff’s Office responded to the Postcard Inn Beach Resort and Marina at approximately 4:55 p.m. regarding a stolen Buick sedan.
The victim stated he and another man were driving in Homestead, Florida earlier that day when they picked up two pedestrians — Marshall and Lucas. All four proceeded south on U.S. 1.
The vehicle stopped on the 84000 block of the Overseas Highway. The two men exited the vehicle to use the restroom and the suspects left in the car without the victim and the other man.
The Sheriff’s Office stopped the vehicle northbound near Mile Marker 99 and both female suspects were taken into custody.
