Man arrested for stealing pickup truck

A 43-year-old Miami, Florida man was arrested Wednesday for stealing a pickup truck in Key West.

Keith Bryant Taylor was charged with grand theft of a motor vehicle.

The Sheriff’s Office was called to a construction supply store in Key Largo at approximately 8:52 a.m. due to a man panhandling. Witnesses stated the man showed up in a white 2004 Dodge pickup truck, began asking customers for money, and then left the scene on foot, leaving the truck at the store.

The suspect, identified as Taylor, was found walking on U.S. 1 shortly thereafter. The truck was reported stolen out of Key West. Taylor was taken to jail.
