Cocaine Sales Arrest

Another alleged drug dealer is behind bars after an investigation and search warrant turned up drugs in a residence in New Town.

On September 1st, the Key West Police Department Special Investigations Unit and Special Response Team, with assistance from Homeland Security Investigations, Drug Enforcement Administration, U.S. Border Patrol, and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office, executed the search warrant at 1300 15th Ct. Lot 29.

Flores-Ortega, 33, was charged with the sale of cocaine within 1,000 feet of public housing after he sold to undercover operatives.

When detectives and special agents arrested Flores-Ortega, he attempted to discard three additional bags of cocaine.

Flores-Ortega was also charged with possession of cocaine and evidence tampering. He was previously convicted of felony re-entry to the United States after deportation.
