RESCUE TAILS / The 4 Year Cats
-Contributed by FKSPCA Staff
Emily, Whopper and Skyy are adoptable cats at our Marathon Campus that have each been waiting four long years for a family to call their own. June is Adopt a Cat Month, making it a purrfect time to feature our 4 year cats.
Emily first came to our Marathon Campus in May of 2019 as a young cat, surrendered when her owner was moving and could not have pets in her new housing situation. Emily is full of personality, and is currently ruling the catio as Queen. She has her favorite perch right by the door where she patiently waits day in and day out for guests to come and meet her. Like many queen cats, she isn’t always ready for visitors and prefers not to have her cat naps disturbed. When she’s feeling extra pretty she likes to pose for the camera. Her favorite treats are temptations, her favorite activity is lounging, and our staff’s favorite thing about her is her toe beans!
Whopper has been at our Marathon Campus since September 2019. She was brought to us when she was just a kitten found under a house in Marathon, and has been patiently waiting for her family ever since. Whopper can be a bit shy – but then who wouldn’t be when you’ve been passed over year after year? A little time and a lot of love is just what this girl needs to become the cat she was always meant to be.
Skyy is Whoppers sister, and also came from underneath a home in Marathon in September of 2019. Skyy is also shy at first, but once she gets comfy she is a total love bug! She likes to lay on fabric, like a towel or blanket. Skyy is a loving lap cat, she will push herself on you until you pet her, very persistent. She is on the petite side for a cat and has the daintiest little paws. She is black and white, spotted like a cow, with a sweet little heart on her nose. She has spent most of her life at the shelter and would love her very own home and human too!
As a no time limit shelter Emily, Whopper and Skyy can stay with us as long as it takes for them to be adopted. We think that four years is long enough! Although 2019, 2020, 2021, and 2022 weren’t their lucky years, we hope that 2023 is the year these sweet cats find their furrever.
