Two Arrested on Drug Charges

On May 12^th, the Key West Police Department Special Investigations Unit and Special Response Team, along with Homeland Security Investigations and Customs and Border Protection executed a search warrant at an apartment in the Lang Milian Apartments at 301 White Street.

The search warrant was the result of a narcotics investigation.

Detectives and Special Agents found powder cocaine, crack cocaine, multiple digital scales and drug paraphernalia associated with the sale of illicit narcotics.

Barbara Roof, 67, and Alfred Kennedy, 58, both of Key West, were arrested during the search warrant. Roof was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell and possession of drug paraphernalia. Kennedy was charged with possession of a controlled substance. Additionally, Kennedy was arrested on an outstanding warrant for resisting an officer.
