Plane crash in Lower Keys  

A small plane crashed near the Horseshoe Keys north of Bahia Honda Key at approximately 1:36 p.m. Saturday.

The lone male pilot was brought ashore by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, whereupon he was flown to a Miami hospital via Trauma Star with non-life-threatening injuries.

The U.S. Coast Guard also responded to the incident.
