Restoration Blueprint Briefing at Sanctuary Advisory Council Special Session
Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary will host a special session of the Sanctuary Advisory Council on July 12, 2022 to brief members on the Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (also referred to as the “proposed rule” or the “draft rule”), the first major update of regulations since the sanctuary was established. The proposed rule is the next iteration of Restoration Blueprint, distilling previous options into a single proposal.
The meeting will take place at Hawk’s Cay Resort, 61 Hawks Cay Blvd Duck Key, FL 33050. The meeting will also be available in real time, online:

A 100-day public comment period begins on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, featuring electronic submission and virtual and in-person sessions, before closing on October 21, 2022, three days after the advisory council’s regularly-scheduled meeting in October. The previously-scheduled August SAC meeting is being canceled.
