REEF RELIEF CONCLUDES A SUCCESSFUL SPRING BREAK CORAL CAMP

Reef Relief sucessfuly held their annual Spring Break Coral Camp this past month. 20 local youths aged 6-12 attended camp held at Reef Relief’s Eductional Center on 631 Greene Street. This was made possible through partnerships with the Key West Aquarium, Historic Tours of America, Martin Luther King Pool, the City of Key West, Key West Ship Wreck Museum, Southbound Key West Fishing, Danger Charters, Fury Water Adventures, and Sebago Watersports. 

Campers exhibited a 32% increase in testing scores which reflects a gain of knowledge in subject such as Coral Reefs, Water Quality, Marine Ecosystems, Shark Biology, Fish Anatomy, Sea Turtles, Oceanography, Sea Birds, Marine Invertebrates, and the Deep Sea.  They also learned valauble snorkeling skills while exploring our local waters. Reef Relief looks forward to their summer which will host eight weeks of Coral Camp for Kids for ages 6-12 and two weeks of their advanced Coral Camp for ages 10-14. Registration for summer just launched April 1.
