Billy Davis, founder of A Positive Step of Monroe County, right, and Miki Yaras-Davis, left, get warmed up for a day of shopping to benefit APSMC. On Saturday, March 19, from 10am to 6pm, the Lilly Pulitzer shop at 600 Front Street in Key West will donate 10% of all sales to help fund the APSMC Idle Hands Summer Youth Employment Program, a program partially supported by and run in partnership with the City of Key West. Each year, the City provides jobs for young people enrolled in the program, and also provides $35,000.00 towards the approximately $70,000 payroll to compensate the students and one staff person for their work. With the help of community businesses and organizations, APSMC raises the remainder of the budget. So come to Lilly Pulitzer on March 19, celebrate the arrival of spring with some colorful new clothes, and know that you are supporting a great program for our island community’s youth. A Positive Step of Monroe County is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving Monroe County’s highest risk kids and their families since 1999. For more information about APSMC and its various community support programs contact Billy Davis at [email protected] or visit apsmc.org.
