Key West Artisan Markets Celebrate Food, Wine, Love and “ReMARCable” Humans
The Key West Artisan Market season 9 kicks continues this Sunday, January 30, 10 am to 2 pm in the parking lot at Sonny Mccoy Indigenous Park, 1801 White Street. Each Market is themed and pairs with one or more charities to promote community causes. All artists who show at the event are carefully selected and must live and create in the Keys to participate.
January 30 is the “Food and Wine Festival” edition featuring sampling and try before you buy culinary creations from The Cheese Lovers to Pickle Baron of Key West pickles, babaganoush to fresh baked breads, nut butters, Indian cuisine, seafood and much more. Fourth and Pride Vodka will be on hand with tastings and as the official vodka in the handcrafted bloody Marys by Great Events Catering. The Artisan Market wraps up four days of special events during the annual Food and Wine extravaganza.
The February 13 Valentine’s “Love is in the Air” edition of the Key West Artisan Market is Sunday, February 13 from 10 am to 2 pm. The event will be collecting for the Key West Police Department Love Fund which supports spouses and children of law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty or who die of natural causes as a result of extraordinary pressures created by the profession. As always, we’re teaming up with the Key West Wildlife Center who will be open for free (donation) tours and ticket sales for their biggest fundraiser of the year which will be held February 20, 3:30 to 6 pm at the East Martello Towers.
February 27 is the Key West Artisan Market: ReMARCable Edition 10 am to 2 pm as we celebrate The Monroe Association for ReMARCable Citizens, a non-profit agency that serves adult clients within Monroe County who have developmental disabilities. Meet some of their staff, volunteers and clients and buy air plants, succulents, tomatoes seedlings and original art.
Every edition guests may enjoy bloody marys, mimosas along with a full bar from Great Events Catering, coffee, smoothies, natural juices and cut fruit, plus multiple food stalls offering eat-here or take-away. Shop a curated outdoor market offering fine crafts, art and jewelry from talented Florida Keys makers. Stock the pantry and fridge with fresh produce, artisan cheeses, local seafood, honey, pickles, pastries, cigars, soaps and so much more. Bring a lawn chair and listen to local musicians presented by the The X Key West and support our featured charities like the Little Pink Houses of Hope who provide seating for donation. The Key West Writers Guild is also on hand with celebrity authors and book signings.
The pet friendly market is conveniently located close to the Higgs Beach Dog Park, free West Martello Tower botanical gardens, White Street Pier and of course, the alluring Atlantic ocean across the street at Higgs Beach. Open 10 am to 2 pm every other Sunday in season by locals, for locals. The next Key West Artisan Market, One Human Family Edition, will be Sunday, March 13 featuring the Key West Business Guild.
