Man arrested for dumping trash

A 22-year-old Stock Island man was arrested Tuesday for illegally dumping more than 900 pounds of trash.

Bryce Austyn Street was charged with dumping or littering in excess of 500 pounds.

Earlier this month, Sheriff Rick Ramsay observed a pile of bicycles, yard waste, old water heaters and other miscellaneous trash near the corner of Front Street and 4th Avenue on Stock Island.

Street was identified as the suspect.

Detectives contacted Street and he acknowledged he was aware of the trash.

A warrant was obtained for Street’s arrest.

Street was booked into jail on Tuesday.

The trash was removed by Monroe County Public Works.
