Reef Relief Announces New Fall Intern

Reef Relief is excited to announce the arrival of our 2021 fall intern, Maelyn Southers. She will assist with our storm water awareness, Key West Marina Park maintenance, volunteer events, and other educational campaigns. Reef Relief is looking forward to seeing her use her skill and talent to promote coral reef conservation.

Maelyn Southers graduated from North Carolina State University in 2021 with degrees in Business Administration and International Studies, with an emphasis on global development and sustainability. Growing up, she spent most summers on the beach developing a deep passion for sustainability and how it impacts all people and life forms. She also lived in Denmark while completing related class work in global sustainable business & carbon emission technology. This will be her first professional experience working with marine science and sustainability.
